Gather in support of Anima Moon with live music by Mike Munson, catered hors d’oeuvres, a Moon-inspired cheese table, drinks, and brief remarks from artist Joel Kuennen.
Anima Moon is a proposed permanent public artwork for the Mississippi River corridor in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The sculpture reflects the light of the Moon onto the river’s surface and slowly tracks the Moon as it moves across the night sky, creating a quiet, contemplative civic presence that can be encountered day or night.
Designed specifically for La Crosse, Anima Moon responds to the city’s relationship with water, time, and shared public space. It is freely accessible, non-commercial, and intended as a long-term gift to the community.
